By Masha Sha
Masha Sha describes her work as an exploration of human nature, specifically in notions of desire, suffering, authority, power, displacement and longing for the undefined, driven by the process of interrogation, which grows from a place of confusion and tensions.
In this image we are confronted with the porousness of the boundaries between the self and others, as the ambiguity of the mother figure’s expression beckons us to consider the relationships between corporeality, gender, and what it means to nurture.
